it is my twenty-fifth birthday, and it is gray and rainy. i have a bit of a cold, but i think it's improving. two apricot croissants for breakfast; took some photos with my disposable camera on the way to work, and i'm excited to get those developed at some point once the camera is full.⏳

a frigid tuesday halloween. overall sort of stressful — i've been without my adhd meds for a week which is making work quite difficult, and i'm sad to not be doing anything in particular for my favorite holiday, but some bright spots: i saw a woman with a devil costume and a long red cape riding a motorcycle on my walk to work this morning and fell a little bit in love. on my walk home, i saw a jack-o-lantern with 'i ♥ gay sex' carved into it, and as i was crossing the street to take a picture of it, someone else around my age parked next to it and got out of her car to also take a picture of it, and we laughed together for a second when i walked over to photograph it right after her.︎🍂

took off work with a headache. frustrating phone calls to pharmacies trying to get answers about the shortage of adhd meds. frustrating therapy session trying to explain to my therapist that, no, i can't just let the feeling of unfocusedness go past me, it's just how my brain is without meds. frustrating day.📭

went to a massive used bookstore & got a little astronomy book from 1910 with diagrams of constellations. i'll have to remember to post pictures of it somewhere on this site at some point; it's so cute, and was somehow only five dollars?? also had a preview night for the art book fair i went to boston for, which i was, frankly, far too tired to be at my best at (owing at least a bit to the free wine that was handed out at the start of the night), but still sold some books anyways!nov 11 2023
