i found out about postcrossing via loren / ribose's site in summer 2023! i've been very slowly exchanging postcards with people since then, and i really enjoy it. it's super cool to get messages from strangers around the world — it makes me feel physically connected to people in a way the internet, as wide-spanning as it is, doesn't quite manage.

i am, to be honest, not very good at keeping up with mail — i have a few pen pals, but i tend to forget to reply to letters for a few months. still, i think it's really cool, and i do enjoy writing letters when i remember to do it!
